Excel Exports and Photo ZIPs Your Customers Expect

4 min read · Return Solution Software

Your processing quality can be excellent and still fail the customer experience if reporting arrives late or incomplete.

Standardize export formats

Agree on column sets with each customer program — serial, model, state, shipment reference, timestamps — and generate them consistently from the same source records operators use on the floor.

Bundle photos with context

ZIP exports should preserve filenames or metadata that tie images back to units and claims. Account managers should not rename hundreds of files by hand before forwarding.

Filter by what customers ask for

Date range, shipment, warehouse, customer — exports should respect the same filters supervisors use internally so you never send the wrong slice of data.

Deliver on a rhythm

Some customers want daily files; others want weekly rollups. Automate the pull so reporting becomes a scheduled outcome, not a fire drill.

When exports are easy, your team spends time improving processing — not rebuilding the same spreadsheet every Friday afternoon.
